A chapter from the Oklahoma book

Landscape - chapter 10 from the Oklahoma book 

This chapter is actually about a landscape painting that was given to my mother as a wedding gift in 1935 by the mother of my mother's best friend in Oklahoma City. The chapter is from BERNICE AND JOHN: FINALLY MEETING YOUR PARENTS WHO DIED A LONG TIME AGO. The painting itself hangs in my office a home and I do indeed study it every day and think about my parents, so incredibly young, in Houma, Louisiana, at my father's second job, with Louisiana Land and Exploration.
